Policy on Staff Religion and Belief
Request for information on DFID’s policy on the display of religious artefacts, symbols and dress by its staff. Also, how many staff have been subject to disciplinary proceedings regarding this policy in each of the last five years.
You may be interested to read our Religion and Belief policy, in which the relevant passages have been highlighted. Please note, however, that our policy is not specific about the display of religious artefacts.
We can confirm that there have been no cases of disciplinary action against any staff under DFID’s policy on Religion or Belief.
