Priority Talent Pool policy
Information about DFID’s Priority Talent Pool policy and for details about numbers and costs of individuals in the pool since it was established.
We understand that by “Priority Talent Pool” you mean individuals who have worked on a job that has come to an end and have subsequently been placed in a pool without being allocated to a new or substantive job, or the Department deciding that they should leave.
DFID’s “People
Strategy”
(408
kb) is a high-level policy document which sets out DFID’s aims for fully
effective people management so as to support achievement of DFID’s poverty
focussed goals. DFID is currently doing a great deal of work on the issue of
workforce planning including addressing the issue of unallocated staff, and we
are working to produce a comprehensive paper on the way forward. The document
has not been finalised and work is continuing but in the meantime there is a lot
of relevant information to be found on the
HR Management Committee papers on our website. The most recent paper dated
10 July mentions workforce planning, but you may find the other papers of
interest too.

posts at that time.
