The International Directors’ Office (IDO) provides corporate and policy support to the International Directors of United Nations, the Conflict and Humanitarian Division (UNCHD), the International Finance and Development Effectiveness Division (IFDE), and the Europe and Donor Relations Division (EDRD).
On the corporate side IDO performs a secretariat role to the three International
Divisions. It provides advice and support to all departments in the divisions on
business planning, monitoring and finance, and human resource management. Our
policy work involves taking forward DFID’s "multilateralism with edge" agenda.
This involves rationalising DFID’s engagement with multilateral organisations to
promote change and greater effectiveness in the multilateral system.
