The need for donors to become more involved in supporting Africa States on
Pan African and Regional issues has been highlighted by the
Commission
for Africa, G8 and the
European
Union.

Pan African and Regional Institutions

African
Union (AU) in 2002. The day-to-day management of the AU is undertaken by the
AU Commission. Member States are represented in the the
Pan
African Parliament. The main objectives of the AU are:
- The promotion of accelerated socio-economic integration of the continent.
- Build a partnership between governments and all segments of civil society and
- the promotion of peace, security and stability.
