The Development Awareness Fund decisions for 2008-9 have been made and successful applicants informed. We would like to thank everyone who took the time and made the effort of applying to the fund. A full list of projects to be funded are available to view through the "Additional Information" link below. The DAF Guidelines for 2009-10 funding round are available below. The main changes to the application process are:
Whilst we do not anticipate any significant changes please note that these might be updated in advance of the funding deadlines. Applicants are advised to check the Guidelines before submitting an application to the DAF. The DAF 2009/10 Application Form, Project Framework and Budget template for full proposals will be available here from 1 July 2008. DAF Funding SeminarsDates for the DAF funding seminars have now been set as follows: If your organisation is interested in attending either of these DAF seminars, please send an e-mail, by 26th June at the latest, to dafseminars@tripleline.com with the following details:
DFID aims to ensure that all interested organisations are able to attend the DAF funding seminars, but if there is a high demand for places on the seminars, this may not be possible and/or the number of participants per organisation may need to be limited to one or two only.

The DAF is open to any UK-based not-for-profit organisation or network which shares our commitment to raising awareness and understanding of development issues. |
Funding criteria |
Activities aimed at promoting public knowledge and understanding of development issues. In particular:

Funding available per activity | DFID contribution from £10,000 to £100,000 per annum towards the total project costs can be considered under the fund. 100% total project costs, up to a maximum of £100,000 per annum, for a maximum of 3 years. Concept Notes can be submitted between 1 June 2008 and 30 September 2008. The next deadline is 30 November 2008 for activities starting on/after 1 April 2009. |
