Consultancy Opportunities

From 1 April 2001, all UK development assistance has been fully untied, which allows suppliers from anywhere in the world to bid for DFID contracts. In line with EU Procurement Directives, DFID is required to advertise all activities expected to exceed the current threshold of £90,319 by placing a Contract Notice in the Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities (OJEC). Exceptions to these requirements include emergency relief and legal projects.

Enquiries to Procurement Group (DFID)

Procurement Group no longer maintains a central register of consultants' details. Registration is not a requirement for working with DFID.

Procurement Group general enquiries can be contacted at the following email address cbinternet@dfid.gov.uk or by telephone on  +44 (0) 1355 84 3770 or +44 (0) 1355 84 3603.

Supply2.gov.uk is a dynamic government-backed service created by the Enterprise Directorate (formerly the Small Business Service), designed specifically to give small businesses within the UK easy access to lower-value contract opportunities (typically worth under £100,000) offered by the public sector.

Register at Supply2.gov.uk to receive daily email alerts notifying you of lower-value contract opportunities relevant to your business, in your chosen area for free. The Supply2.gov.uk service also enables you to search online for contract opportunities whilst actively promoting your company to the public sector.
