UK-India: Strengthening the Procurement System for Implementation of Reproductive and Child Health Programme (RCH II) (CNTR 3219)

The second phase of the Reproductive and Child Health programme, a flagship programme of Government of India''s National Rural Health Mission, was launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) , Government of India (GoI), in 2005. One of the focus areas of the RCH II programme is to strengthen the capacity of the MoHFW as well as State level agencies in improving the transparency and efficiency of GoI health sector procurement. Specifically, this consultancy will support actions required to further enhance the capacities/capability of the Empowered Procurement Wing (EPW) of MoHFW to promote professionalism and transparency in the procurement of health sector goods, works and services.
