The second phase of the Reproductive and Child Health programme, a flagship programme of Government of India''s National Rural Health Mission, was launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) , Government of India (GoI), in 2005. One of the focus areas of the RCH II programme is to strengthen the capacity of the MoHFW as well as State level agencies in improving the transparency and efficiency of GoI health sector procurement.
