C1 Administrative Assistant

Kabul, Afghanistan

The British Government’s Department for International Development (DFID), one of Afghanistan’s major donors, invites applications for the post of temporary Admin Assistant in its Kabul office.

DFID Afghanistan is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to fill the post of Admin Assistant in its Office Management Team. This is a temporary 6 month contract, with the possibility of being made permanent at the end of that period. The post is ideal for someone with experience of working in a busy office environment, who enjoys being part of a highly motivated team, which has established a reputation for attention to outcomes, flexibility and willingness to cooperate with others to meet shared objectives. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a major donor development programme in Afghanistan, where DFID is the second largest bilateral donor. Afghanistan is one of the UK’s top development priorities given the urgent need to improve security, strengthen governance, and to address poverty and injustice.

Closing date: Thursday 28 August. @ 5pm UK Time
Interviews will take place on Tuesday 2 September
